Ulmer Z. Bridges, III, J.D.
Ulmer Zack Bridges, III “Zeke” is originally from Early County located in South
Georgia. Bridges was born in Blakely, Georgia and is the oldest son of Ulmer and
Vicki Bridges of Augusta, Georgia. Bridges is the grandson of Mrs. Sadie Bridges
of Blakely, Georgia and the late U.Z. “Zeke” Bridges, Sr., from whom he received
his nickname. Bridges is married to Grace B. Bridges, a former French teacher at
a local school. In 2003 the couple decided to make Cary, North Carolina their home.
Grace, Zeke, their daughter Ella and dog Mable enjoy living in North Carolina.
Bridges spent most of his years growing up in Augusta, Georgia where he graduated
from high school at Abundant Life Christian Academy, prior to that Bridges was home
schooled. In addition to other employment, during high school, Bridges interned
at the District Attorney's Office in Augusta, Georgia. Bridges pursued higher education
at Young Harris College located in the North Georgia Mountains, where he obtained
his Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Bridges then continued at the University of
Georgia in Athens, Georgia, where he graduated with dual degrees of a Bachelor of
Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice in 1999. Bridges worked during college
at an established local law firm in Athens, Georgia.
Pursuing a law school education, brought Bridges to North Carolina in August of
2000. Bridges is a graduate from the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School
of Law at Buies Creek, North Carolina, where he received his Juris Doctor degree
in May of 2003. During law school, Bridges worked as a Research Assistant for Webster's
Real Estate Law in North Carolina, a state-wide treatise on property law, as the
U.S. Supreme Case Law Editor for the Campbell Law Observer, a member of the Christian
Legal Society, Secretary of the Men's Legal Caucus, Campbell Law Ambassador, and
Law Library Assistant. Additionally, while serving as Student Bar Association (SBA)
President Bridges was awarded the David Teddy Innovative Leadership and Service
(Student of the Year) Award and the Howard Christian Citizenship Award. Furthermore,

Bridges then clerked for the Honorable David W. Daniel, Clerk of the United States
Eastern District Court in Raleigh, North Carolina (current Federal Magistrate Judge,
EDNC) and interned at the Wake County District Attorney's Office in Raleigh, North
Carolina.
After serving as a partner at a local Cary law firm, and six years as founding partner/owner
of Bridges Law Firm, PLLC in Cary, NC, Bridges & Cabaniss established Western Wake
Law Group as the trade name for the organization of Bridges & Cabaniss, PLLC in
October of 2009. Today Bridges intentionally focuses his law practice in specific
areas of law. He enjoys these practice areas because they allow him to interact
with clients in an "individualized manner" so that they might have the opportunity
to realize their dreams, simplify their lives and help them prepare for the future.
On a more personal note, Bridges was an amateur boxer with the Augusta Boxing Club
in Augusta, Georgia. During six years with the Augusta Boxing Club Bridges holds
a record of 29 wins out of 35 fights, and has been awarded and holds the following
titles: Six-time Golden Glove boxer, Gold in the National P.A.L.S., Silver and Bronze
in the National Silver Gloves, Bronze in the Junior Olympic National U.S.A. Tournament
and member of the 1993 U.S. Boxing Team at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado
Springs, Colorado.
Bridges enjoys his time working the lights as an AVL tech team member at his local
church, finding time to read publications and books on history, politics and business
and practicing the 2nd amendment as a Legacy lifetime member at the Nevada Front
Sight Firearms Training Institute.
In addition to working a 4-month stint at 10 hour days for 7 days a week on a cruise
ship in the Caribbean & New England coast and working at the University of Georgia
Golf Course, Bridges has had over 20 jobs since turning the age of 16. The most
recent of which was as At-Large Candidate for the Cary Town Council in the fall
