Kathy Begun, Senior Paralegal
Kathy Begun is originally from Indiana and later South Florida. She has lived in
Raleigh NC since 1994. She received her BS in Social work from Florida Southern
College in Lakeland Florida and a paralegal degree from Florida Atlantic University
in Boca Raton. She served as President of the Women's Club in Boca Raton, Florida,
and other boards relating to her children's schools. She has spent many years of
volunteering with the Junior League. She has served on the board of the Junior League
of Raleigh.
Prior to becoming part of the staff at Western Wake Law Group, Kathy began her legal
career in Florida as a paralegal in the litigation department of a local law firm.
She continued her legal career in Raleigh, working in mediation services, asbestos
related cases and then real estate. She held a two-year position in computer system
administration with an international company. Her most recent legal experience included
four years with the local Raleigh firm of Parker, Hauser & Cabaniss, PLLC.
Kathy joined WWLG in October of 2009. As a senior paralegal at the Firm, Kathy brings
a wide array of experience in real estate law, organizational skills and years of
working with clients with a varied of backgrounds. Kathy brings to WWLG her positive
attitude and can do attitude. Above all, our clients consider Kathy’s dependability
and friendly nature her best trait, we couldn’t agree more.
On a personal note, when Kathy isn’t working, she enjoys all areas and challenges
of life. Her favorites include reading, cooking and traveling the world. Kathy and
her wonderful husband have two children ages 22 and 25.
