Ashley K. Reger, Law Clerk
Ashley is originally from Salem, Virginia, but relocated to Matthews, North Carolina
when she was in middle school. Matthews is a small suburb on the Southeast side
of Charlotte. Ashley is the only child of Buddy and Terry Reger, but has a large
extended family, all of whom reside in Charlotte as well.
Ashley graduated from Providence Senior High School in 2005, and enrolled at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall of the same year. While
at Carolina, Ashley was an active member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, a member
of the Carolina Style Dance Company, and the undergraduate intern in the UNC Sports
Marketing Department. Ashley graduated from Carolina in the spring of 2009 with
degrees in Communication Studies and American History. Always wanting to go to law
school and become an attorney, Ashley enrolled at Campbell University Law School
in the fall of 2009. As a second year law student, Ashley has greatly enjoyed her
legal studies and looks forward to graduating with her Juris Doctor degree in May
2012.
After completing her first year of law school, Ashley interned at the North Carolina
Sheriffs’ Association, a lobbying organization that represents all 100 North Carolina
Sheriffs, doing primarily research as it was an election year for all 100 Sheriffs
in 2010. Ashley also clerked at the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings
the second half of the same summer, where she was immersed in the realm of administrative
law and administrative hearings.
Ashley joined Western Wake Law Group in January of 2011 to gain practical experience
in the field of law that Ashley is most interested in, estate planning and real
estate law. As a law clerk, Ashley is responsible for assisting in the day to day
operation of the Firm.
On a personal note, when Ashley is not studying or working, she enjoys traveling,
reading, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Tar Heels. Ashley
has spent summers in Ghana, West Africa, and Thailand and enjoys meeting new people
and experiencing new cultures.
